After the fall & After the cast

Breaking or fracturing a bone is such a hassle. The picture at the bottom is the day I broke my ankle & the one on top is the day the cast came off my ankle. I have been wearing a very expensive boot (if you ever break a bone, ask for the cost of each boot and get the one in the middle range) which I can self-inflate to put more pressure on the ankle.
For the last two months, I have fallen a few times and added a few more bruises. On Hallow's Eve, I will have another x-ray to determine how the bone has healed and I hope, to stop wearing this boot. I still can't put any pressure on my foot!
Thank goodness for my kind and wonderful spouse who has done EVERYTHING possible to make me comfortable. He has started a new professor gig, cared for me and kept our home (bills, cleaning, cooking) in order. Thank you wonderful MAN!

Now, I have a few nieces who actually like to break their bones-crazy bunch-but I can never say they're boring! They are very active in sports and acting, so I would assume they break at least one bone a year. Every time I visit, at least one youngster in the family has broke a bone. Now that I've broke a bone I suppose I'm part of the group of bone crushers who like to have a good time.
