Listen and Watch Animals
I have learned to listen and watch animals. Cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and on and on, have this innate ability to teach, love, hate and admire us. Last year, my mother was in the hospital for close to a month. She has one dog and two cats who were "worried" over my mother. Of course, I stayed at my mother's house and cared for the little ones, and they sure knew when I needed a lap cuddle. Especially, after I would visit my mother in the hospital. The animals were there at the door providing a sweet cheer of "hello!" and a welcome back home.
I love animals. I miss having one or two in my home. When I was a child, my mother would bring in animals from the street and care for them. Then she would find homes for the little strays. My mother had (still has) several friends who needed a new addition or knew of another friend who needed a pet in their life. This idea of caring for animals I suppose rubbed off on me. I live in a small apartment (for now) and I can't have any pets. Soon, I will have my own home and a few cuddly animals in my life.
