Oh, yes. I like ice cream. Home made? Even better. Do you remember the last time you had tasted fresh, home made ice cream? I do! It was strawberry on the Fourth of July about four years ago. The family gathered together at a sister's house-the one with the really great back yard and super swing set-everyone brought an ingredient necessary to make the ice cream.
We brought the strawberries. A brother brought his big personality, a sister the loads of ice and salt, and another sister had the ice cream maker and other ingredients that I can't remember. I waited and waited for the delicious creamy stuff to finish churning and so did the kids who were experiencing their first taste of home made ice cream. Finally, the time arrived! There was barely enough for one bowl for the entire family.
Great news. We still had plenty of ingredients to make another batch. What's your favorite ice cream? Do you even like ice cream? When I buy the stuff, I usually buy Breyer's. I will buy the Strawberry or Chocolate with none of the added ingredients. Just simple things-no need to add any more artificial goop!
