It's Raining!

It's raining here in the desert. No blowing dust or thunderstorms, just a gentle November rain. The birds are sitting in the olive trees, I just finished a cup of green tea and the air smells damp. It is so beautiful here when it rains.

As the Tohono O'odham Indians say, "The desert smells like rain." I would have to agree. The desert does smell like rain...even when it's 120 degrees in the shade!
