Wow! The Midwest was hit with a HUGE ice storm. Thick sheets of ice covered trees, poles, windshields, roads; anything in the way. I phoned some family members in Oklahoma and they were the welcome from relief house for neighbors and other family members without electricity. They told me their electricity didn't turn off because they don't have any trees nearby and their lines are buried. Interesting concept. I hope the electricity will turn on and the Chinook blows down..well, at least some type of warm wind to melt the ice. This is pretty early in the season to have this type of ice. So, I can't complain about the cool weather here in the arid south; just be happy for the rain, floods, road closures and speedo tight shorty shorts on the cyclists cycling away on Bush Hwy.

Ice storms are beautiful! Deadly, yes. But beautiful!
