Donate a Tooth and Save Another's Eyesight!

I know, it is a crazy concept to donate a tooth, root and part of a jawbone to help restructure an eye socket-but it happens. A blind man in Ireland lost his eyesight from a horrible explosion and his son donated a tooth with the root and part of his jawbone to help restore his father's eyesight. Now, the man can read and continue his routine on the Emerald Isle.

What an incredible concept to use a tooth to help regrow an eye socket (the bone area), but think of this: the jaw is located near the eye socket & shares the same blood vessels. The body is a HUGE "band aid" and can recover or even regrow what it needs to survive. Imagine what else we can use from the body to help cure certain diseases, aid in certain disorders or other ingenious medical discoveries.

Wow. A tooth for an eye. Brilliant!
